The AMA Foundation – Healthy Living Grants

“Promoting and establishing healthy behaviors for younger people is more effective, and often easier, than efforts to change unhealthy behaviors already established in adults. The Healthy Living Grant Program supports health education programs to develop school and community-based solutions to behavioral health challenges. The target audience of the project must be an underserved and/or at-risk population between the ages of 2-21.” “Educational and awareness programs about the dangers of prescription drug abuse, targeted to children, parents or schools” are the focus of this year’s grant allocation.

Funder:  The American Medical Foundation (AMA) Foundation
Eligibility:  Non profit 501(c)(3) organizations. Charitable organizations which do not have 501(c)(3) status may be considered. “The AMA Foundation wants to focus Healthy Living grants on grassroots efforts in neighborhoods across America. The Foundation would like the organization to be in existence for at least a year to illustrate that the organization can successfully operate and sustain itself.”
