“The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is interested in partnering with a recipient to provide youth with education and work experience opportunities, through conservation projects which will further their understanding and appreciation of natural and cultural resources. Natural resource enhancement projects, such as but not limited to invasive weed treatments, fuels reduction, wildlife habitat protection, and recreation site maintenance, will occur on public lands within the Eugene District.
The objective of this agreement is to provide youth the opportunity to connect with the natural world through the completion of various natural resource projects on public lands within the Eugene District. These projects will enhance and conserve public recreation, fish, wildlife, and plant resources while providing youth with positive work experiences, development of work skills, a sense of personal responsibility, encouragement for a long term community service commitment, and the potential for future employment in natural resource management.”
