“I view myself as a lone wolf. You can be around people but still feel very much alone,” said Gianni Cuevas, who was taken from his mother at 16.
He didn’t know what to major in at college because he never expected to get that far.
He is one of several youth in care introduced in this video who have struggled to make it to higher education after high school.
They’ve gone through switching schools, bad schools, good mentors, disappointment and hope.
