“This NOFO supports programs designed to prevent and reduce school violence by implementing training, developing school threat assessment teams and/or intervention teams to identify violence risks, introducing technologies like anonymous reporting tools, or applying other school safety strategies that assist in preventing violence. The goal is to equip K–12 students, teachers, and staff with tools to recognize, respond to, and prevent acts of violence.”
Funder: The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA)
Eligibility: “Category 1: state governments or public- and state-controlled institutions of higher education. | Category 2: city or township, county, and other units of local government; federally recognized Native American tribal governments; nonprofits with or without a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; independent school districts; and private institutions of higher education.”
Amount: Up to $2,000,000
