THIS GRANT’S FOCUS: Environment, Community, Civic Engagement, Public Health, Climate Change
Deadline: Aug. 21, 2025
“The Outreach and Restoration Grant Program aims to support community led stewardship efforts, necessary to advance the restoration and protection of Maryland’s bays, tributaries, and other natural resources. The program engages a diverse range of organizations in Maryland that have community or environmental related missions. Our goal is to implement projects that increase public understanding of environmental challenges, and solutions. We seek projects that address community environmental health disparities, or implement demonstration-scale, community-inspired, on-the-ground restoration projects; while expanding the base of public support. All projects should meet one or both of the following goals:
(a) Engage members of a specific audience through knowledge building or behavior change initiatives. Outcomes should be measurable and have a surviving impact in addressing community sustainability and environmental health issues.
(b) Accomplish on-the-ground restoration and resilience projects that result in improvements to the health of a Maryland natural resource, or improvements to the climate and flood resilience of Maryland communities.

Track 1: Outreach/Knowledge Building Projects (up to $50,000)
