Welcome to the BOOST Conference, the largest, most recognized, and comprehensive global convening for after school, expanded learning, and out-of-school time professionals.
We’re redefining leadership in and celebrating the best of out-of-school time, and we want you to join us!
Set in a retreat-like atmosphere in Palm Springs, CA, this extraordinary annual event will rejuvenate your passion, boost your creativity for quality programming, and provide tools and resources that will inspire you to create change.
In 2018 the BOOST Conference is celebrating 11 years of networking and team building opportunities for more than 2,500 out-of-school time professionals who gather at BOOST from around the world. Join us May 1-4 to inspire youth, inspire learning, and inspire change.
This year BOOST is excited to welcome Bryan Stevenson as our Conference Keynote. Stevenson is one of the country’s most visionary legal thinkers and social justice advocates. A MacArthur fellow and founder of the Equal Justice Initiative, Stevenson is a founding leader of the movement against mass incarceration in the U.S. An inspiring and unflinchingly honest speaker, Bryan Stevenson will talk with BOOST attendees about defending some of America’s most rejected and marginalized people. The stories he tells are heartbreaking, yet inspiring, and motivate audiences to stand up and make change.
Stevenson’s memoir, Just Mercy, is an inspiring story of unbreakable humanity in the most desperate circumstances, and a powerful indictment of our broken justice system and the twisted values that allow it to continue. His remarkable twenty-minute TED Talk, We Need to Talk About an Injustice, has been viewed over 4.5 million times on the TED website and another 766k times on YouTube, and The New Yorker named it one of five essential TED Talks.
Throughout the four-day BOOST Conference, there are more than 150 exceptional workshops to help you learn and grow, that introduce the latest trends and research in innovative and quality out-of-school time programming. BOOST also offers opportunities for targeted conversations and learning through Inspiration Station Workshops, Master Classes taught by world-class experts in their discipline, BOOST Nation: Town Hall meetings with national leaders and public figures, and a BOOST Film Festival that screens films highlighting topics relevant to education and issues relating to today’s youth.
And don’t miss out on the BOOST Exhibit Hall, where you’ll connect with over 100 Exhibitors sharing the newest resources, products, and services to enhance your programs. Camp Inspire and Exhibitor Showcase Workshop Sessions will bring you into the action of out-of-school time and give you hands-on experience with the latest innovations in expanded learning materials.
And while we take learning very seriously at BOOST, we also like to have fun! Connect with colleagues and meet new friends at any of our 15 special events hosted throughout the week of the Conference.
Standard registration rates of $495 for the BOOST Conference are available until March 31. Pre-registration ends on April 15. For more information visit www.boostconference.org.
