Users can sign up for free membership and then search for volunteer opportunities by ZIP code and interest area, while nonprofits and businesses can post descriptions of the work. The site lists more than 56,000 available volunteering opportunities posted by more than 65,000 organizations. VolunteerMatch is a nonprofit that has worked to connect other nonprofits with volunteers since 1998.
