Thanks for Andrew Hahn’s column in on Hip-Hop (“Using Hip-Hop in Youth Programs,” March). I am a minister and a certified substance abuse prevention specialist and I am in full agreement with [Hahn’s] insights. I have had a very tough time selling this concept with adult service providers in North Carolina. However, I have done trainings with case managers and parks and recreation directors. I am going to continue to pursue this avenue as a very important tool in the battle for the minds of our youth.
