Former foster youth (now aged 18 through 24), send us your selfies!

Show Youth Today readers what you’re doing professionally, academically or for your community after aging out of foster care.

We (the Center for Sustainable Journalism) want to celebrate photos of you transitioning into adulthood to inspire other young people with a selfie compilation video.

Your selfies can be shot on a college campus, a workplace, where you volunteer, someplace relevant to foster care support — anywhere that shows what you’re up to and how life goes on to inspire other current and former foster youth.

The selfies should be taken at a wide enough angle to give us a clear idea of what you’re doing and where you are.

Please email your photo to fosterselfies@youthtoday.org. In the email, list your name, age, location (i.e. campus, workplace, etc.), city and state.

(For example: Jane Smith, 21, Howard University, Washington, D.C. or John Smith, 24, youth empowerment speaker, Multi-Agency Alliance for Children, Atlanta, Ga.)

You need to be between the ages of 18 and 24 to be published.

Have fun and be creative!
