Labor and Sex Trafficking Among Homeless Youth

The Field Center for Children’s Policy, Practice & Research and the Loyola University Modern Slavery Research Project conducted interviews with a sample of 641 homeless youth from ten cities across the United States and Canada to collect data about the prevalence and nature of human trafficking among the homeless youth population. This resulting report summarized the worrying findings, showing that 19 percent were identified to be victims of some form of human trafficking and more than 14 percent had been trafficked for sex.
