The Future of Undergraduate Education: The Future of America

The American Academy of Arts & Sciences' Commission on the Future of Undergraduate Education produced this report which takes a comprehensive look at the current state of the quality and accessibility of undergraduate education, how it is changing, and what it will look like in the future. The report outlines several investment, policy and practice recommendations that can make undergraduate education more effective and accessible going forward.

Unrealized Impact: The Case for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

This report released by NewSchools Venture Fund highlights the stark lack of diversity in education leadership across the country and the detrimental effects this has on the educational achievement of a student body which is growing more racially and ethnically diverse every year. Greater levels of teacher and leader diversity in the education sector are shown to result in improved academic performance and fewer disciplinary problems. "Unrealized Impact" is the most comprehensive study done on this issue and makes the case for a number of different reforms and initiatives to address it and improve the hiring, retention and advancement of minorities in education leadership positions.

STEM 2026: A Vision for Innovation in STEM Education

Together, the U.S. Dept. of Education and the American Institutes of Research convened experts and leaders in STEM areas of focus to discuss the ways in which approaches to STEM education can be improved or even radically changed in order to arrive at the best outcomes. This report is a result of these policy and practice recommendations and additional comprehensive research, synthesizing it into a readable and all-inclusive look at the possible future of STEM education.

No Time to Lose: How to Build a World-Class Education System State by State

The National Conference of State Legislatures prepared this report to highlight the troubling state of the current education system in the U.S. and how the nation's students are falling behind those of other countries. The report summarizes the key policies and factors which make other education systems more successful and recommends ways in which these ideas could be adopted and revised for widespread implementation at the state level in the U.S.
