Corporate Sponsors

Youth Today is seeking corporate sponsors to provide funding to train our students in real world job opportunities. The funding will help Youth Today become more sustainable while providing the sponsors unique opportunities to meet potential candidates for employment. On average we employ 10 students per semester. The amount of requested funding will be contingent on the student's area of concentration and desired level of interaction.

Student Job Opportunities

At Youth Today, published by the Center for Sustainable Journalism (CSJ), we pride ourselves on employing Kennesaw State University students. Our various opportunities allow students to get real-world experience while obtaining their degrees. The focus is on enhancing the learning experience for the students through the multiple departments at the CSJ and our two publications, Youth Today and The Juvenile Justice Information Exchange.

We recruit through Kennesaw State University Career Services, career fairs, promotional tables around campus and word-of-mouth among students.

Some of the internship opportunities we offer include: Youth Today Marketing Assistant, Youth Today Circulation Marketing Associate, Youth Today Hybrid Circulation Marketing Associate and Youth Today Advertising Account Manager. These positions are internships of 19 hours per week, where the students start in subscription sales, move into a hybrid role selling subscriptions and advertising, and based on performance have the chance to move into a purely advertising sales role. With coursework plus intensive sales training, one-on-one coaching, supervision and specific performance expectations for revenue generation, students truly prepare for a full-time sales or other professional roles post-graduation. We train them to meet production goals using role-play. They gain valuable experience in marketing and business operations, and hone vital communication skills, closing skills, professionalism and — most importantly — learn to become an asset to a company.

Some of the other internship opportunities we offer involve grant writing, special projects, social media management, reporting and much more.
