Essay Contest

While I can’t write about every single scholarship opportunity and essay contest that exists, this particular essay contest being sponsored by Junior Achievement is one of the more interesting and potentially lucrative that I’ve seen, especially given the modest amount of effort it seems to require.

Essentially, if a college-bound youth has the time, talent and integrity to pen a 500-word essay on this ethical dilemma between now and April 30, he or she could win a $5,000 scholarship.

The rules state that entrants have to complete one of its online Excellence through Ethics lessons, too. No problem, I say. Given the rising cost of tuition, this is something that definitely seems like it’s worth the old college try, so to speak.
