Youth workers are being asked to help beta-test an updated version of Servenet, the online network for volunteers that is run by Youth Service America and iBelong Networks. The new site incorporates advanced social networking tools, such as shared news feeds, real-time news alerts via e-mail, and mobile messaging. It also features searchable user profile pages, issue-related groups, maps and special group pages enabling nonprofits to post volunteer opportunities, receive online donations, and manage their membership bases.
