This streamlined search engine of nearly 1.2 million community resources for youth around the country helps users find local youth programs and services. Users enter the types of resource for which they’re searching (such as “pool” or “community center”) and their addresses. Several results are listed, along with buttons that allow users to download listings to their computer address books, GPS systems, IPods or mobile phones; view directions and satellite images with Google Map; find local public transportation websites; access live online support; or add listings of their own. The site, now in beta testing, is run by a nonprofit of the same name, in partnership with several national youth-serving organizations and federal agencies.
