One-in-Five Kids Participate in After-School Programs at Faith-Based Facilities, Outpacing More Traditional After-School Settings

Junior Achievement Worldwide

This survey of 1,200 teens found that nearly 18 percent say they participate in after-school programs at churches, temples and other faith-based facilities, while 9 percent say they participate in after-school activities in more traditional settings, such as Boys & Girls Clubs. Most (59 percent) participate at their schools. The findings suggest that faith-based facilities are helping to meet a growing demand for after-school programs. Free online.
